Missions and Witness
A Disaster Relief Team is forming here at Annandale for the purpose of developing a plan and a group of people who are willing to go at a moment’s notice and respond to a natural disaster. If you are interested in more information please stop by the Missions Table and speak to Mark Bradley. There is handout and an application available.
Honduras: We are currently gathering a list of people who might be interested in going to Honduras to put together kits for the “Bed For Every Child Project” we raised money for during Lent. See Volunteer-In-Mission.

Campbell’s Soup Labels – The Henry Fork Service Center in Rocky Mount, Virginia is a multi-purpose mission outreach that primarily provides programs supporting the children of Franklin County. The executive director is Susan Putnam, one of our covenant missionaries. The center is collecting Campbell Brand labels with the goal of getting a van. They have banked 630,000 labels to date, but need a total of 1.5 million. The Annandale UMW collects these labels and will supply them to Henry Fork. Please bring your labels to the collection box across from the church office (bottom left mailbox). Eligible brands include Campbell’s, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, V8, Prego, and Pace. Effective June 2, 2006, they will only accept the new proof labels. You must clip the UPC code with the little Campbell's student figure. The UPC code and figure must be cut out together as one piece. Please feel free to check their website, www.campbellsoup.com, for complete instructions and an updated list of eligible products. Other products require other proofs of purchase. This is being done to make it easier and cut mailing costs.
