Children's Chapel

Children's Chapel is open to children age Kindergarten - 2nd grade. During this time children experience the lesson for the day in a child friendly, age appropriate way. Chapel time is meant to deepen children’s understanding of the aspects of the worship service.  We’ll be learning the “how to” of worship, such as Greeting our neighbors in peace, the offering, and singing the Doxology.  The Chapel lesson might be from the lectionary reading for that Sunday as well.  Over the course of the year we’ll explore songs we sing each week in worship, symbols of the Christian people, the Apostle’s Creed, and more. The children will serve as acolytes, pray together, and begin exploring the meaning of Christian worship.

Children’s Chapel takes place after the Moments with the Children during the 11:00 a.m. worship service, in the Godly Play classroom, room 313.

Children meet for Joyful Noise Choir practice (ages k-2nd grade) immediately following Chapel time in room 311.
Please see our Music Program for details.
