SUNDAY SCHOOL
Classes begin at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. Sunday School is open to all children age 2 years through 5th grade. There is no charge. Teachers are trained volunteers who love children and are committed to the spiritual nurture of children. Children are placed in classes based on their school grade as of September 30.
Godly Play
Kindergarten through 1st Grade
Located on the 3rd Floor
A method of Christian formation and spiritual direction for children. The goal is to teach children the art of using religious language – parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action – to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Bible stories are told in a way that encourages children to enter into the stories and relate them to their personal experience. The class also has an art response, prayer, feast (snack) and gathering time.
Live B.I.G.
2nd - 5th Grade
Located on the 3rd Floor
Help your children come to know the love of God through Jesus by making your Sunday school a place they want to be. Help them live out their belief in God in their everyday lives. Dream B.I.G. and bring it to life with Live B.I.G., a DVD-based Sunday school resource designed to excite and enrich your children’s spiritual lives by bringing their everyday real world experience into Sunday school.
Pre-K Sunday School Classes
2 & 3-year old class is in Room 208.
4-year old class is on the 3rd floor
Age appropriate and child friendly lessons and activities are centered on God’s love and care as expressed through creation, family and others.
